Summary
The Front of House Retreat Manager is a senior leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth and exceptional guest-facing operations while driving business growth through private hire, corporate retreats, yoga retreats, and full venue takeovers. This role combines operational excellence with a strong commercial focus, building long-term client relationships, and generating new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the team, fostering a culture of warmth, professionalism, and collaboration.
- Work closely with the Back of House Operations Manager and Assistant Front of House Manager to ensure operational alignment across all departments and step up when necessary.
- Mentor, motivate, and oversee staff, ensuring clear communication and accountability
- Guest Experience
- Oversee all guest-facing interactions pre-, during, and post-stay to deliver a consistently premium experience.
- Manage check-ins, guest hosting, and in-person touchpoints with a welcoming, solution-oriented approach.
- Ensure guest feedback is documented, escalated, and acted upon to drive continuous improvement.
- Business Development & Sales
- Drive revenue growth through sourcing and securing new private hire, corporate retreat, and yoga retreat clients.
- Convert incoming venue hire inquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive follow-ups and relationship management.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to improve conversion rates, develop business pipelines, and strengthen brand partnerships.
- Represent the company in a polished and professional manner at industry events, networking opportunities, and with key stakeholders. Operations & Coordination
- Oversee smooth weekly retreat operations in partnership with the Back of House team, ensuring ambience, cleanliness, and guest rituals are upheld to the highest standard.
- Coordinate with chefs, therapists, housekeeping, and freelance facilitators to ensure premium service delivery.
- Support ongoing programme and seasonal updates to maintain the retreat’s reputation for innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in hospitality, wellness, events, or hotel management in a senior role.
- Background in sales, business development, or guest relationship management a plus.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills; natural team player.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
- Commercially savvy, results-oriented, and motivated to drive growth.
- Adaptable and open to evolving responsibilities as the company expands globally.
